Hi,
My name is Lillycat and I'm a french artist working on dollmaking and custom since 2005 as Cerisedolls, and on comics books and illustrations since 2003.

Today I would like to introduce to you Miss Blueberry Cupcake, she's a 39cm tall (1,28 feet) ball jointed doll, made of cold porcelain tinged in the raw.
I've chosen the cold porcelain for its translucent looks, pretty close from the clay polymers but with a way better shockproof.

The cold porcelain presents the hudge advantage to be non-toxic and not unhealthy!

The porcelain has been home made, with a mix of vinylic glue and cornstarch. Very resistant, she however needs to be conserved in a dry place, and she must not be wet. The doll received a couple of dark varnish coats to protect the paint.

I've tryed to realize a different doll, far away from the willowy shapes I'm used to.

Miss Blueberry just as the cupcakes is full of color, rounded, almost in an excessivly way. I was inspired by the pin-ups from the 50s and their glamourous look.

She is debirately made in the old fashion way, with visible joints, wich is perfectly matching with her rounded look. The choice of this type of joints doesn't allow the doll to stand up by her own, as it's sometime the case for some BJDs. It wasn't the goal, I was working more especially at how she look than her capacity to be stood up, so she needs a stand if you want to stand her up (the stand on the photos is not included).

This is not a toy, but an artistic doll to carry with precautions.

She's been painted with acrylic paint, and each tatoo has been hand-painted.

The hair is made of Mohair Weft and glued directly on her skull

She will be delivered with the current clothes and jewels she's wearing on the pics, wich are all handmade and totally original just as he doll.
She will be protected in a customized wood chest made especially for her, with three pillows and a quilted bag.

I have tried to give the best I could on all elements. The realisation of this doll took hundreds of hours of work.
